Dear God,
Help us to remember that in your eyes, it is never about our “stuff,” but about how we treat one another that matters most. Thank you for the gift of this beautiful congregation, and for establishing a covenantal relationship that has lasted for more than two centuries. We recall and renew that commitment to you and each other today.
In this morning’s scripture your word challenges us to re-think our ideas of right and wrong. We open our minds and hearts this morning to a new understanding of how we should treat one another, and how sowing the seeds of your love sometimes flies in the face of our conventional ways of looking at the world. We thank you for challenging us and helping us grow. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
