The Mustard Seed Thrift Shoppe is a cheerful, community-minded, nonprofit secondhand store located right next door to the Monroe Congregational Church on the beautiful, historic Monroe Green.

Founded in the early 1960s, the Shoppe has been a place where generosity meets purpose for decades. We gratefully receive donations of clothing, small household goods, and toys, which are then sorted, tagged, and lovingly prepared by volunteers before being offered for sale to the public. Every rack and shelf tells a story; of items finding new life, neighbors finding great bargains, and a community choosing reuse over waste. Best of all, the proceeds go right back into what matters most: supporting mission and outreach and helping our church do its work in the community and beyond.

Want to lend a hand? We sort, tag, and hang donations on Tuesdays at 1:30 PM. If you’re a church member, we’d love your help, either as:

• a Sales Associate during business hours, or

• a Sorter/Tagger on Tuesdays.

No experience needed, just a willing spirit. You’ll learn as you go, meet great people, and be part of something that quietly makes a big difference.
