Confirmation class at MCC is an opportunity for participants to:
understand and own the vows of baptism
discover and assume the privileges and responsibilities of church membership
begin an adult spiritual journey
We achieve this through the review of:
Scripture and basic Christian theology
the traditions of Monroe Congregational Church and the United Church of Christ
and discussion of personal beliefs and realities of the wider world.
Important Things to Remember…
We will let you know ASAP if there is a conflict and we need to cancel class.
Attendance at evening class sessions and Sunday morning worship are important aspects of the confirmation experience and are expected of all participants
Please be on time. We don’t want you to miss anything!
We know that from time to time students may need to miss a class because of busy schedules. Please call one of the teachers if you know you will be missing class. Otherwise, we may use valuable time waiting for you and/or calling you to find out where you are.
